We went on vacation the beginning of August to Rodanthe, NC located in the BEAUTIFUL Outerbanks! My favorite vacation place ever! We have been a few times, and done a bed and breakfast and a hotel. This time, we rented a house and it was so much better. We saved so much money by being able to go grocery shopping, and cooking in the full furnished kitchen. We also had access to a pool and had our own hot tub, so that saved money on looking for things to do.
One place we became extra fond of while vacationing down in the OBX was a sushi spot down in Avon. If your coming from Rodanthe it'll be on the left, by the Pier in Avon. Tucked back in you'll find Haoles Sushi. Visit their Facebook by clicking their name and tell them we sent you!
They have the absolute best sushi my husband and I have ever had. I can't think of all the names right now, but I can tell you that I'd drive another 13 hours down there right now to eat their sushi for dinner tonight. The owner made our sushi and we enjoyed talking to him about his business endeavors and new baby on the way.
Their sushi may have been million dollar sushi, but it was decently priced for a great meal. Probably the cheapest meal we had down there and we also had drinks (including a berry vodka drink that had fresh mottled berries), sake, and more than a few rolls of sushi! Heres some photos, we went twice and I only remembered to take pics of the sushi when it was almost gone!

P.S. On your way to Haoles Sushi, DO NOT SPEED! :) We got a great speeding ticket our last night there on our way to eat our favorite sushi. WELL WORTH THE TICKET, THOUGH!
